Facebook unveils Subscribe button for websites
Facebook has launched a Subscribe button for websites which allows users to subscribe to their favorite writers or public posts with one click. Its very much like Twitter follow button in many ways.
In the Facebook developer blog, the company said once a user clicks a Subscribe button, the public posts of the person they have subscribed to will begin appearing in the user's News Feed.
"The Subscribe button for websites works just like the button on Facebook; once clicked the user will begin seeing the public posts of the person they have subscribed to in his or her News Feed," Facebook explained.
"The subscribe action is also shared -- allowing others to subscribe directly via the News Feed stories, and further increasing viral distribution," the post added.
In September, the social networking site launched the Subscribe button which allows people to share their public posts and updates with anyone on the website.
